Dr. Thompson earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in psychology from Bethel College in North Newton, Kansas; a Master of Social Work degree from the University of Illinois, Chicago; a Master of Theological Studies degree from Northern Baptist Theological Seminary in Lombard, Illinois; and a Doctor Of Ministry degree from McCormick Theological Seminary at the University of Chicago. 		<description><![CDATA[On July 4th, Dave Eckerty from Evangelical Covenant Church in Paxton, IL suffered a serious head injury late afternoon. He was riding his bike with his grandson Gavin, 2 year-old when a female driver crashed into him. Gavin is apparently okay but Dave is in critical care. Some walked 5 miles, some 15 miles and one 80 year old man walked the who 26 miles around beautiful Lake Geneva at Covenant Harbor Bible Camp in Lake Geneva, WI.  Sponsored by Women Ministries of the Central Conference, this walk was intended to raise our consciousness about human trafficking, as well as bring in some necessary support monies for New Day for Children, [...]]]></description>
